Good Morning Lovely Friends.  Welcome to my very first blog post.  Yes, I know I am very late to the party, but I decided to join the fun.  Who knows, maybe someday I will be brave enough to make videos (doubtful)!!

Allow me to briefly introduce myself.  I am a middle 50-year-old Nana of 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson given to us by our only daughter, Allison.  I worked for 34 years in the health information arena mostly as a medical transcriptionist/editor, having to retire early in July of 2015, due to health reasons, which I will explain at a later time as they, unfortunately, figure prominently in my life.

I have been doing counted cross stitch for 32 years.  I also can do some basic knitting and crochet.  My favorite designers are Rosewood Manor, Long Dog Samplers, Cuore e Batticuore, and numerous French designers.

Since I have started revealing some of my favorites, I will continue on along those lines so you may get to know me a little better.  My favorite color is purple.  Books are Sea Music, Gone With The Wind, Galway Bay, and Island of the Swans. Favorite series are The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter, Mitford,  Miss Julia, An Irish Country Doctor, Fairacre, Thrush Green,  Anne of Green Gables, Lumby, and Emily of New Moon.  As you can probably tell, I love to read, and some book reviews might creep in from time-to-time.  My favorite movies are Miss Potter, Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, Wizard Of  Oz, and Anne of  Green Gables.  I do not watch much TV, however, my favorite series are Downton Abbey, Road to Avonlea, Emily of New Moon, I Love Lucy, Bewitched, Family Affair, Keeping Up Appearances, One Foot in the Grave, Last of the Summer Wine to name a few.  My favorite beverage is tea.  My favorite meals are fish and chips, pizza, and soups of all kinds.  My favorite music is Celtic, contemporary Christian, and folk.

I hope that helps to paint a tiny picture of who I am.  Tomorrow, I will tell you about my WIPS and hopefully be able to insert some photos.

Thank you so much for dropping by.  Until tomorrow, have a blessed day.
